T.D. Montena has a unique approach to coaching. She incorporates her broad field experience, organic concern, education, professional competencies, expertise, and resolution to maximize wellness goals and outcomes, utilizing evidence-based approaches. Her dedication to each individual's wellness journey is tenacious, with a humanistic approach.
T.D. obtained her master’s degree as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with Liberty University. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in forensics from Southern New Hampshire University, located in Manchester, New Hampshire. She has more than a decade of clinical experience with a wide range of clients in several mental health settings. These have included being a Mental Health Worker for three psychiatric hospitals, Case Manager for the Traumatic Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire, Case Management for co-occurring clients with Greater Nashua Mental Health Center, Nashua, New Hampshire, Youth Clinical Coordinator for Gulf Coast Center, Texas City, Texas, and a Chronic Pain Clinician for Kemah Palms Recovery Center, Kemah, Texas, and have served 2 private practices.
As an accomplished empowerment coach, PhD student in psychology, and certified expert in trauma and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), T.D. is dedicated to creating transformational impact in communities worldwide. She specializes in supporting human-trafficked and at-risk young females, providing them with tailored guidance and unwavering support to rebuild their lives with resilience, and hope; combatting recidivism.
With a lifelong commitment to mental health activism, she integrates evidence-based practices with compassionate leadership to drive meaningful change. Her expertise extends beyond coaching and counseling to public engagement as a keynote international motivational speaker, sharing empowering messages of healing and growth across diverse audiences.
As a published memoirist of Gravitating to Greatness, Changing the Trajectory of Life and host of tHE ARTichoke Podcast, T.D. brings authenticity and transparency to every conversation, addressing the core of mental health challenges. Her platform is rooted in a mission to uplift, inspire, and empower individuals to transform their lives through self-awareness and purpose.
In alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, she actively gives back to the community, leveraging her unique skills to promote mental wellness, social equity, and inclusive growth. Proudly serving as a Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce member, T.D. is deeply committed to fostering economic development and advancing opportunities for marginalized communities.
